Generally speaking, there are three types of contracts I sign with clients:
Exclusive engagement
You have my services exclusively for a set period of time. Essentially, I block my calendar and put all other work "on hold" until your project is complete.
This is a great way to get a project done as quickly as possible, with my full attention and close interaction.
Typically, I charge a flat fee based on the project scope and timeline.
Limited engagement
My time and attention is shared among multiple projects. I’ll deliver what you need – but I may not be able to things around lightning fast.
This type of engagement works best if price is more important than how quickly the work is done.
Sometimes I bill an hourly rate, and sometimes I agree on a flat fee for the entire project. It really depends on the particulars of your needs.
Support and Maintenance
You pay a low, fixed price for a defined amount of ongoing support work. Usually these contracts are renewed annually.
This kind of arrangement is helpful if you need periodic content updates or you have seasonal events that need special promotion.
